When are classes scheduled?
New! Classes are now offered live, fully online, during “twilight hours” for students who wish to balance full-time work with their studies. Designed with the professional in mind, classes are conveniently scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after 5:00 PM. Please note we will offer in-class opportunities for local students.

Is this program offered on a part-time basis?
Yes, a part-time program of study is available. Note that it is mandatory to complete the program within a two-year period. To find out more, please contact Patrick Charlton, Program Coordinator, at [email protected].

How long is the program and when are classes?
This graduate certificate is designed with the professional in mind. The program is currently offered in both Fall (September start) and Winter (January start). Both intakes are offered over two consecutive semesters. The Fall intake starts in September and runs until the end of April. The Winter intake starts in January and runs until the end of August. Classes run Tuesday through Thursday after 5:00 PM.

Are classes online or in person?
This program can be completed fully online and uses a variety of learning formats including synchronous online learning, optional classroom experiences, and field study (a consulting project).

Can I work while doing this program?
The later class times and condensed two-semester format help students complete the certificate efficiently so that they can begin their career sooner or complement their current professional obligations with a consistent schedule. All classes are accessible online Tues-Thursday after 5pm EST with some optional in-person classes.

What are the students like who usually take this program?
This program is designed for college or university graduates looking to advance their career in business development and sales, professionals who are looking to level up their credentials, and entrepreneurs wanting to expand their businesses.

What will I learn?
Students learn how to sell products and services based on analysis of prevailing market conditions, consumer attitudes, and behaviours. Through a creative, flexible and customer-focused approach students develop an understanding of both domestic and international sales issues. Students acquire creative, procedural and critical sales expertise to generate, implement and evaluate sales programs to satisfy customer needs.

Do we work with real-world clients?
In the second semester, students complete an industry sales project for a real world client. Students apply their learning to develop an industry sales plan and strategy presentation.

Who teaches the courses?
The professors come from diverse and international backgrounds, and are active practitioners and educators, some owning their own businesses in the field of business development and sales.
